Actor Arun Govil, best known for playing the role of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s hit show ‘Ramayan’, expressed his disappointment on not getting a chance to do a darshan at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The actor mentioned that the temple was crowded, and he wanted to visit it again.
Arun Govil had reached Ayodhya before the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya was scheduled. He was touring the city then. On the day of the consecration, he visited the temple along with many other celebrities who had been invited to the event. However, the actor was disappointed when he was unable to perform darshan.
Bharat 24 quoted the actor saying, “Sapna toh bhaiya poora ho gaya par mujhe darshan nahi hue. Main kuch nahi keh sakta iss samay (The dream has been fulfilled, but I did not get to do ‘darshan’. I can’t say anything at the moment).”
Arun Govil mentioned that he was happy that he got to visit the temple. Speaking to NDTV, the actor revealed that it was a divine moment for him. But he wanted to have a darshan. He mentioned that he could not have a proper darshan because of how crowded the temple was and because of time constraints. He added that he would like to visit Ram Mandir once again to have darshan in peace and solitude.
The actor who was a part of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony took to his social media to share pictures with other actors. He posted pictures with Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi on his Instagram. In another post, he shared a picture where he was seen with Amitabh Bachchan.
