Fans of Korean pop music will be in for a heartbreak as two of their favourite singers are reportedly heading for a break-up. BLACKPINK’s Jennie and BTS’ V aka Kim Taehyung are allegedly no longer a couple. The news comes days after V was enlisted by the military. Now is this a calculated decision of the two or not, time will tell.

For the unversed, the two broke the internet a few months back when reports of their relationship came out. They were caught hanging out together by the paparazzi in the French capital, Paris. While the two have never confirmed the news of their relationship, they never denied it as well. They had been linked for many years but it was after this spotting in Paris that the relationship rumours grew even stronger and fans started social media trends, memes and posts around them being a couple.

Billions of fans were massively shocked after the news of their break-up hit social media. However, many have also said that this may be a calculated move by the two and they might be back together when V is back after his stint with the military.

For the unversed, Kim Taehyung has reportedly been enlisted by the military along with a few other pop stars like RM, Jungkook and Jimin.

At the same time, BLACKPINK members have renewed their contract with YG Entertainment. Jennie, Lisa, Rose and Jisoo, all have put to rest the rumours of the band breaking up by signing the contract, which was pending for quite a long time.

The agency released a press statement and announced that the BLACKPINK members have renewed their contract. The statement from YG Entertainment read, “We are pleased to announce that our board of directors has successfully come to an agreement on the signing of exclusive group contracts for all four members of BLACKPINK, our talented artists. BLACKPINK will continue to do its best to shine more brightly in the world music market as an artist representing K-POP, and we will continue to give their unwavering support and faith in their actions.”
