After the confirmation of the BLACKPINK members not renewing individual contracts with YG Entertainment, speculations arose about what the K-Pop girl group will do for their solo careers. They have renewed their contract with the label for group activities, but not for solo promotions.
According to an exclusive report by a K-media outlet dated January 2, JISOO has reportedly signed under Blissoo, where her brother serves as the CEO. Notably, on the website, there was also an ad, with a picture of the 'Flower' singer posted, wherein they were hiring.
However, as per Allkpop, the company's spokesperson did not say anything on the matter. They said, "It's complicated to define the company's relationship with Blissoo. I don't know the CEO's family relationship either."
After renewing their group contract with YG Entertainment, all four members of the band -- Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose -- decided to part ways with the label for solo activities. This marks YG Entertainment's second loss, following BIGBANG's G-Dragon, who has now signed with Galaxy Corporation.
