Singer-songwriter RAYE has led the nominations for the BRIT Awards announced Wednesday, setting a new record with seven nominations in a single year. The 'Escapism' singer has bagged nods in 'Best New Artist,' 'Artist of the Year,' 'Album of the Year,' 2 nods in 'Song of the Year', 'Pop Act,' 'R&B Act.'
RAYE was "completely floored" by her nominations, adding, "I am currently a mess of overwhelming emotions and confusion as to how this even happened to be honest." RAYE with seven nominations has gone on to break a record held by Robbie Williams, Craig David and Gorillaz, who had previously earned six nominations in a single year.
