Cillian Murphy is earning all the praise for his performance in Christopher Nolan's ‘Oppenheimer’. In a new interview with Cinefilos, the actor was asked whether he would be interested in playing Ken in ‘Barbie’.

For the unversed, Cillian plays physicist J Robert Oppenheimer, the father of the Atomic Bomb, in the film, which released on July 21. ‘Oppenheimer’ clashed at the box office with Greta Gerwig's film ‘Barbie’, which revolves around two famous dolls, Barbie and her boyfriend Ken.

In a new interview with Cinefilos, the video of which has surfaced online on Twitter, Cillian was asked whether he would be keen on playing Ken. To which, he said, "Sure, yeah! Let's read the script and let's have a conversation. I can't wait to see it. I think it's great for cinema to get all these great movies happening this summer."

Meanwhile, ‘Oppenheimer’, which is set during a period in history, is based on the Pulitzer Prize–winning biography "American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J Robert Oppenheimer." The film also stars Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr, Florence Pugh and Matt Damon in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, ‘Barbie’ features Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken.

The releases of Barbie and Oppenheimer became a global phenomenon named ‘Barbenheimer’ and we must say, both the movies are breaking records at the box office. In India, ‘Oppenheimer’ has performed better than ‘Barbie’, while in the US box office, ‘Barbie’ has outperformed ‘Oppenheimer’.
