In January this year, Tamil star Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth, who is the eldest daughter of megastar Rajinikanth, issued a public statement that they have decided to part ways after 18 years of marriage.

However, if recent media reports are to be believed, Dhanush and Aishwaryaa are reportedly trying to make things work around their marriage and have put their divorce on hold after nine months after announcing the separation. No official statement has yet been released by Dhanush and Aishwaryaa.

Now Dhanush’s father Kasthuri Raja has reacted to the speculations of Dhanush and Aishwaryaa reconciling their marriage. In an interview with Ananda Vikatan, Kasthuri Raja made no revelations about their relationship, and said he never interfered with or influenced the decisions of his children in their personal life. “I don’t know,” he said when asked about the recent speculations.

He, however, added, “My wife and I can live a good life even without the support of our children. The only expectation we have is for them to be happy. Nothing else. And anything that hampers their happiness is also a problem for us. We are happy when they are happy.”

Recently, Dhanush and Aishwaryaa grabbed limelight when they made their first public appearance together at a school event for their son Yathra. Their family picture had gone viral on social media as well. They have two sons together, Yatra Raja and Linga Raja.

For the unversed, back in January 2022, Dhanush had written, "18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting, and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate... Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this.Om Namashivaaya! Spread love, D."

On the work front, Dhanush has few films lined up, including 'Vaathi' in Tamil and 'Sir' in Telugu, apart from 'Captain Miller'.
