Veteran actor Dharmendra was recently seen in Karan Johar's 'Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani'. He has been very much raved for his performance in the film especially for his on-screen chemistry with Shabana Azmi. In a recent interview, the actor said that he feels that his family hasn't gotten their due from Bollywood yet. He also said that he didn't even get a 'single award' for his film, 'Satyakam' (1969).

Dharmendra told TimesNow, "Our family is not into marketing itself. We've always believed in letting our work speak for us. Sunny is in two of the biggest blockbusters of all time. You will never hear him talking about his achievements. My younger son Bobby (Deol) is also doing well for himself. But my family has never been given our due. We don't mind. The love of our fans is enough fuel to keep us going. We don't need the industry to acknowledge us." He added, "I didn't get a single award even for Satyakam."

The 87-year-old actor shared his happiness about his son Sunny's film 'Gadar 2' which released last week. He also said that there is a chance that the film's success will surpass the first part. He said, "This means that a big part of the Gadar 2 audience was not even born when the first Gadar was released. And yet, they are cheering, whistling, and clapping in the theatres. People are going crazy for the film''.

The 'Sholay' actor also spoke about 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani's success and said that it has gotten him so much love from all quarters. He called his role small but he feels the entire drama unfolds around his character. ''I am happy to be part of a film where everyone is being praised. Karan Johar is a wonderful filmmaker - kind, generous and patient. I would love to work with him again. Ranveer. Alia bahot pyari bachchi hai. And so talented! The success of this film goes to the team." shared Dharmendra.
