After a long wait, MBN has finally announced that its upcoming romantic comedy drama, 'The Crown Prince Has Disappeared' is set to premiere on March 9. This new series serves as a spin-off of the popular drama 'Bossam: Steal the Fate,' which was a major hit as it became MBN's highest-viewed drama in 2021.

The story, set in Joseon, revolves around a kidnapped crown prince and the woman destined to be his wife. As they run for their lives, a spark blossoms between them. EXO's Suho will take the lead as Yi Geon, the crown prince of Joseon, who is unexpectedly kidnapped in the blink of an eye. And, Hong Ye-ji will portray Choi Myung-yoon, a clever and spirited young woman, who is skilled in horseback riding and medicine.

Alongside these two, Myung Se-bin will come back to the 'Bossam' universe as the gentle queen Min Soo-ryun, while Kim Joo-hun will take on the role of Myung-yoon's father, Choi Sang-rok, who is professionally a royal physician and will do whatever it takes to protect the ones he loves. Lastly, Kim Min-kyu will be playing the role of the crown prince's half brother, prince Do-sung, who has his own dream of becoming a crown prince.

Additionally, Yoo Se-rye, Jeon Jin-oh, Cha Kwang-soo and Kim Seol-jin will play supporting roles.

MBN released photos from the initial script reading of the upcoming drama on January 26, which feature the main cast members including Suho, Hong Ye-ji, Kim Min-kyu, Myung Se-bin, and Kim Joo-hun. As per reports, the script reading started off with warm greetings from director Kim Jin-man.
