Actress Parineeti Chopra’s ivory-themed wedding to politician Raghav Chadha has become a topic of discussion among fashion enthusiasts. Not just her outfits, the actor’s kaliras are also making many headlines for the sweet story behind it. As per jewelery designer Mrinalini Chandra, the actress decided to get her kaliras designed in a way that they depict many moments of her and Raghav’s love story.
Taking to social media, the designer gave a detailed description of Parineeti Chopra‘s kalira motifs, and praised the actress’ ‘impeccable taste and discerning eye’. Chandra revealed how Parineeti picked each and every element herself.
“The story of Parineeti & Raghav is truly a modern-day fairytale, the most organic and beautiful coming together of two worlds that are wide apart yet equally complex. She chose each and every element, ensuring that they symbolize her journey with Raghav in the most love-filled way. At first glance, the Kalira appears to be dainty ornaments cascading from the bangle. However, its true beauty lies in the underlying story it conveys—a tale of love. The design of these Kaliras is very special. Each motif represents a moment of serendipity, a chance encounter when their paths crossed in a cosmic dance,” Chandra wrote.
She also shared a sketch of the kaliaras, and it has several interesting elements, from their initials, a cupcake, a gramophone, a coffee mug, an airplane and the Om and Ek Onkar symbols. Reportedly, Parineeti and Raghav met in London, and to signify that, there’s London Eye, the buses, and even the telephone booth, on her kaliras.
