Singer-songwriter Guru Randhawa and singer-actress Shehnaaz Gill have been consistently in the spotlight for over a year due to rumours surrounding the nature of their relationship. With many speculations about their relationship status, neither one has ever confirmed or denied the same. And now, it seems Guru Randhawa is embracing the speculation about his personal life with open arms, and the attention it brings him.
“I feel very good about it, when people talk about my dating life,” the singer told Hindustan Times, adding, “Fans link me with beautiful girls all over the world, so it feels great, every boy wants that attention.”
For those not versed, it began last year with the release of their first music video, a romantic track titled ‘Moon Rise,’ which sparked rumours, linking the two singers to be involved romantically. Later that year, Randhawa joined Gill at the screening of her film, ‘Thank You for Coming,’ and they posed together on the red carpet, intensifying the speculation. Then again in January of this year, they released their second single, titled ‘Sunrise,’ prompting further speculation from their huge fan following. Additionally, their affectionate reels on Instagram often leave fans wondering about the nature of their relationship.
While the ‘Suit Suit’ singer is in no mood to confirm or deny the dating rumours surrounding him and Gill, he went on to add, “I want people to keep doing that [talk about my love life] for me. Even if I am not dating somebody right now, because of that news, I might start dating someday soon. If the reader [of this interview] is a girl, I am single. But if the reader is a boy, I am taken.”
Despite the ongoing speculation about his personal life, Randhawa is focused professionally. The singer recently released his latest single, ‘In Love’ featuring Raja Kumari, and also ventured into acting with ‘Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay,’ alongside Saiee Manjrekar, and called the experience fantastic despite the film’s mixed responses. Additionally, he is set to appear in two more films slated for release this year and will also continue to release new music.
