American pop rock band, Imagine Dragons, has helped a Ukrainian teenager rebuild their house after it was destroyed during the war with Russia. The teenager was featured in the music video for ‘Crushed.’ The music video showed how the teenager’s village was destroyed after it was under occupation for five months.

United24 shared a video that depicted how Imagine Dragons’ video helped Sashko, a 14-year-old boy, get his home back. They wrote, “One year ago, our friend @ty__arnold met a 14-year-old boy named Sashko in Ukraine. He was wandering the streets of his destroyed town of Novohryhorivka, still in disbelief of the complete destruction of his home, his neighborhood, and his school.”

Tyler Arnold frequently collaborates with Imagine Dragons for their music videos. Arnold had arrived in Ukraine as a volunteer. The caption adds, “@ty__arnold captured Sashko’s story in our music video for Crushed. Thanks to UNITED24 (which we support) and their donor @avrora.multimarket , Sashko and his mother’s house has been rebuilt.” United24 is an initiative that has been started by Volodymyr Zelenskyy to raise funds for Ukraine.

‘Crushed’ showed Sasha’s house and his village that was destroyed during the war. The video showed him going through the debris to collect the remaining parts of his house. He managed to survive by hiding in bunkers, but a lot of his neighbours lost their lives.

The music video had gained a lot of attention after its release. In one of the concerts by Imagine Dragons, the band had invited Sasha on stage. The video helped in raising funds and in getting a donor who got the house built in six months.
