Virat Kohli, on Wednesday, broke the all-time record for the most number of centuries made by any batter in ODI, as he recorded his 50th hundred against New Zealand in the 2023 ODI World Cup semi final in Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. The former India captain scored a double off Lockie Ferguson in the 42nd over of India's innings.

He had earlier come at par with Sachin Tendulkar's record when he got to his 49th ODI hundred against South Africa at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on the occasion of his 35th birthday. Now with the latest ton, he has surpassed Tendulkar's record as well.

Kohli's century on Wednesday is also his 80th international hundred, which is second only to Tendulkar, who wrapped up his career with 100 international hundreds.

On the momentous occasion, several Bollywood celebs have wished Kohli and reacted on his record breaking feat.
Sunny Deol wrote on X (formally Twitter), “The KING Conquers! Wankhede stands witness to history as KING KOHLI secures his 50th ODI century, setting a world record.”

Randeep Hooda called him “The undisputed KING of the cricket world.”

Sophie Choudry and Anupam Kher also reacted. Check out what they commented:

For those caught unaware, Kohli made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka at Dambulla in 2008. He was also part of the Indian team that won the 2011 ODI World Cup, and the winning team of 2013 Champions Trophy in England.
