During that challenging period, she received an offer to do the film 'The Break-Up,' which she found ironic, given her situation back then. 

Despite the circumstances, Aniston accepted the role and went ahead with the film. To her surprise, the experience proved therapeutic for her. Released in 2006, the movie starred Aniston and Vince Vaughn in leading roles, with actors like Jon Favreau, Justin Long, Jason Bateman, and others in crucial roles.

The storyline of the film struck a chord with Jennifer Aniston as it mirrored the recent divorce she had undergone due to their differences. In an interview with China Daily, the 'Friends' star said that she found it funny when she was approached with the offer. She said, “I kind of found it something like a sign or something to do it.”

Jennifer Aniston further explained, “In a way, it’s a cathartic thing. I felt very lucky. If this had come to me at any other time, I don’t know if I could get it for myself on the level that I would have wanted to as an actor.”

In an interview with Elle, the actress referred to the movie as her fate and reiterated how cathartic it was for her following the divorce. Jennifer described it as an incredible experience, expressing that she had never enjoyed a creative process more than during 'The Break-Up.' She further went on to say that her co-actor Vince Vaughn played a pivotal role in bringing her back to life.

For the unversed, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were married from 2000 till 2005. They met for the first time in back 1994 and reportedly went on their first date sometime in 1998.

On the professional front, Jennifer Aniston was last seen in 'Murder Mystery 2' opposite Adam Sandler.
