'Friends' actor Matthew Perry died at a young age of 54. His sudden and tragic passing away inside his Los Angeles home left us all with one friend less. Alongside his own family, his other family (the cast of 'Friends') -- Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer -- was the most devastated.

Perry passed away on October 28 of this year. Following his death, there were tons of unknown details about his struggle with alcohol and drug addiction that took over the Internet.

Jennifer Aniston, in an interview with Variety, has broken her silence on Matthew Perry’s death. “I was literally texting with him that morning, funny Matty. Matthew was not in pain. He wasn’t struggling. He was happy,” she revealed. Her statement also clarifies whether or not the 'Fools Rush In' actor was under the influence of illegal substances at the time of his passing. She said, “He was happy. He was healthy. He had quit smoking. He was getting in shape. He was happy — that’s all I know.”

The 'Murder Mystery' actress has always been grateful for Matthew for making her laugh at all times. “I want people to know he was really healthy and getting healthy. Matty was on a pursuit. He worked so hard. He really was dealt a tough one. I miss him dearly. We all do. Boy, he made us laugh really hard,” she added.

Matthew Perry's autopsy initially stated 'deferred,' and the toxicology report has not yet determined his cause of death. Officials found no drugs or any signs of foul play at the scene.

Recently, the later actor's stepfather, Keith Morrison, used his official Twitter to promote awareness of a foundation in Perry's honor. Perry had always wished to be remembered for "helping others" rather than his 'Friends' character Chandler Bing. To pay tribute, his family established the Matthew Perry Foundation to support those battling addiction.
