It's a big news for K-Drama lovers. 'Alchemy of Souls' fame Jung So-min and 'Snowdrop' fame Jung Hae-in are set to pair opposite each other in a rom-com drama.

While it was confirmed that Hae-in would be playing the main lead back in December, there were many rumours about who would be starred opposite him. Now, on January 3 KST, it was confirmed that Jung So-min would be playing the female lead in the drama titled 'Mom’s Friend’s Son.'

'Mom’s Friend’s Son' revolves around a woman Bae Seok-ryu, who wants a fresh start in her life. She is the perfect daughter, who is extremely honest and fuelled with energy and everyone's favourite. But one unfortunate day, she has a breakdown due to a setback in her professional life.

On the other hand, we have Choi Seung-hyo, who is Seok-ryu's mother's friend's son, and has the perfect personality. He is a renowned and one of the youngest architects in Korea.

How their interactions would take place and how much importance they hold in each other's lives will only be determined once the drama releases. As of now, no other information has been given.

On her upcoming role, Jung So-min said in a statement, “It’s an honour to meet a project that I relate to and makes my heart feel warm. I’m looking forward to it even more because I enjoyed watching the writer’s [other] projects. As my second project with the director based on trust, I will greet viewers with a good performance.”

The drama will be helmed by the makers of the highly-acclaimed drama 'Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha' - director Yoo Je-won and writer Shin Ha-eun. The filming process will begin soon now that the cast is confirmed.
