With many Korean dramas being released around the same time, the battle for their ratings has intensified, with 'My Demon' and 'Welcome to Samdal-ri' racing for the top spot. Song Kang and Kim Yoo-jung's supernatural rom-com claimed the throne as the most talked-about drama and actors last week, closely followed by Ji Chang-wook and Shin Hye-sun's 'Welcome to Samdal-ri,' which recorded its highest ratings yet.

'My Demon' is a story that revolves around a demon Jeong Gu-won, who has lost his demonic powers and heiress Do Do-hee, who is wrongfully accused of murder. It's a classic enemies-to-lovers plot and everyone seems to be loving it. New episodes are released every Friday and Saturday on SBS and Netflix. 'My Demon' also topped the Good Data Corporation's weekly list of TV dramas, creating the most buzz, marking the show's highest position since its premiere on November 24.

With its popularity and viewership increasing, and the natural chemistry between the lead cast, Song Kang became the top actor of the week. With its episodes 7-8 featuring love confessions and intense moments, the drama soared in average ratings.

According to Nielsen Korea, episodes 5-6 of 'Welcome to Samdal-ri' recorded an impressive nationwide average rating of 8.295 percent for its sixth episode, continuing its consistent viewership growth.

Meanwhile, 'Maestra: Strings of Truth' achieved a personal best, securing a nationwide average rating of 6 percent in its fourth episode. 'Live Your Own Life' achieved a record-breaking 18.8 percent, surpassing its previous best from the second episode, establishing itself as the most-watched Sunday show.

And then there is 'Korea-Khitan War,' which has maintained its dominance in the ratings since the beginning, sustaining an average viewership rating of 9.6 percent.
