On January 15, KST, numerous reports stated that K-Pop girl group Red Velvet’s main vocalist Wendy will make her solo comeback in February 2024.

Now, her agency, SM Entertainment, has reacted to those reports and confirmed that she will be releasing new music. While, it's confirmed that she is still in the process of making music, what's not confirmed is the release date. While many reports are saying that the date of release will be next month, a source from the agency shared, "The release date will be revealed once it is confirmed.”

The official announcement states that, "Wendy is actively preparing for the release of her new solo album."

This will the first comeback in about three years for Wendy, whose real name is Shon Seung-wan, since her solo debut with her first mini album 'Like Water' in April 2021, which featured hits like 'When This Rain Stops,' and 'Like Water,' along with three other exceptional tracks.

This news has sent fanz into a frenzy and left them eager to know what kind of music she would be producing.

As for group activities, the five-membered Red Velvet made their comeback with their third full-length album 'Chill Kill,' back in November 2023.
