For the unversed, Kangana Ranaut's great-grandfather, Sarju Singh Ranaut, was also a popular MLA. He had won on a Congress ticket.
On the work front, Kanagana Ranaut will soon be seen in 'Emergency'. There is also another untitled psychological thriller that she is a part of, but there hasn't been much updates on that yet. Her last few films haven't done great at the box office. 'Tejas', 'Chandramukhi 2' and 'Dhaakad' have all been massive duds at the ticket window. Even 'Thalaivii' was a big hit only down south and it wasn't able to do exceptional business in the northern circuits.
But, with 'Emergency' a lot might change as a lot of hopes are pinned on the project. Kangana Ranaut is not only producing the project, but she is also directing the film. She will be seen playing the role of Indira Gandhi in the movie. Let's wait and watch how the film turns out to be.
