Karan Johar is one of the most successful filmmakers in the industry. He has given his audiences some of the iconic films in the past. Recently, he made a comeback to direction with 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' with a stellar ensemble cast including Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. The movie has received immense love and also performing well at the box office. Today, Karan is successful but with good things, bad too follows. He has often been subjected to online trolls. The filmmaker has been the victim of the most godawful things online.

During a recent interaction with Indian Express, when Karan was asked how he feels when he's targetted by trolls, he said, "There's a snake emoji that comes out. I don't know why. I have no idea. It got stuck. From where I don't know. There's a snake that comes out with my name. I don't know how and when this happened." He added, "I mean, I'm not on Twitter but that snake emoji follows me everywhere. I'm much less abused now cause who are they going to abuse. I'm not on that platform."

The director also revealed that he reads each and every comment online. He said, "I do put up a large amount of images of myself posing and pouting for some reason. It's me living some vicarious dream of my childhood. You should really read some of the comments. They're hilarious. They're very creative even when they're negative. I read every single comment. They say really funny; the darnest of the things I read. And I'm one of those sucker who will read it all. Like I'll read every single comment." He added that he takes negative comments as constructive criticism.

Karan was recently honoured for his 25 years of filmmaking at the Indian Film Festival in Melbourne.
