Filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Sara Ali Khan marked their presence at the 54th International Film Festival of India in Goa on Tuesday. The duo, who are collaborating for their upcoming film ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’, got candid at the event and spoke about love and marriage.
Karan told the women present in the audience, “I hope you find green flag guys. I am manifesting it more than anything else.” Karan, who is the host of the popular chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’, added his own Koffee twist at the IFFI event. He also said, “People who have said things on that couch, it has happened.” He then looked at Sara and asked her, “Right, Sara?” An amused Sara ended up laughing.
The filmmaker further added, “I know people who have come and spoken about the potential of marriage and they got married. I think there is a bit of Sima Taparia in me.”
Karan then revealed that his next mission is to get Sara Ali Khan married. He said, “I am that Punjabi aunty who wants to get people together and Sara is my next mission.”
Karan Johar’s latest directorial ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, was a blockbuster. Sara, on the other hand, last featured in ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ opposite Vicky Kaushal.
Coming to IFFI 2023, the 54th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), taking place from November 20 to 28. Shahid Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Pankaj Tripathi, Nushratt Bharucha along with singers Shreya Ghoshal and Sukhwinder Singh headlined the opening ceremony of the film festival.
Over 250 films are set to be showcased across the various sections of the festival, and several eminent personalities, including Sunny Deol, Vijay Sethupathi, among others, would be part of it.
