It would not be wrong to say that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s seven-year-old son Taimur Ali Khan gets a lot of attention, be it on social media via the paparazzi or through the fans of the couple, who dote on the star kid. Time and again, Kareena has opened up about why she never hid her kids’ faces from the paparazzi, unlike other stars who keep their children hidden from the limelight.

Now, in a recent interview with Forbes India, Kareena mentioned how at times, Taimur wonders if he is a ‘VIP’, and Kareena has to keep reminding him that he is getting all this attention because his parents are in showbiz, and hence, famous.

When Kareena was asked about Taimur’s reaction to photographers, she said, “I think now, he is obviously used to it. But it’s difficult because… I mean if you kind of tell him that ‘hide your face, don’t do this, don’t do that’, I think that would be too much. So, in a way, we have tried to explain directly to him that they are taking your pictures because your parents are actors, your parents are famous. You are not.”

The actress further mentioned how Taimur has several questions that he keeps asking about the photographers that surround them. Kareena said,

“So, he keeps asking me, ‘Am I VIP?’ and I am like ‘no, you are not. Maybe your parents are… I don’t know. But you are not, you are nothing’. So he is like growing up with this to understand that ‘my parents are this. I don’t know why they keep clicking me. I need to do something with my life’. So we are being very honest with him,” said Kareena.

Kareena and Saif are also parents to two-year-old Jeh Ali Khan. The couple, along with their two kids, are currently on a holiday. After soaking up some winter sun and celebrating Taimur’s birthday at the Pataudi Palace, the family jetted off to their favourite destination, Switzerland.

On the work-front, Kareena was last seen in Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Jaane Jaan’, for which she received a lot of critical acclaim. Next, she has Hansal Mehta’s thriller ‘The Buckingham Murders’ apart from Rhea Kapoor’s ‘The Crew’ and Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Returns’.
