On the 'Most Searched Asians Worldwide 2022' list, which was unveiled by Google recently, BTS was the undisputed winner. Two of the Korean band members, V aka Kim Taehyung and Jungkook, took the two positions of the list. The K-pop artists are undoubtedly ruling the charts all over the world with their songs, concerts and their surprise plans to focus on solo projects.
In India, Katrina Kaif was named fourth on the list of the most searched Asian on Google in 2022. She moved ahead of her competitors, Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone. According to the search giant's annual "Year in Search’' report, she also took the top spot on the list of most searched Asian celebrities worldwide. Alia was at number five and Deepika did not even make it to the top five this year. So, going by it, Katrina is the most searched Bollywood actress, and Indian cricketer, Virat Kohli was placed at spot three.
Coming to the top three searched films in India this year, the list revealed it were "Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai," "Sooryavanshi," and "83”. Katrina starred in “Sooryavanshi”, which featured Akshay Kumar in the lead role.
Meanwhile, Katrina has been in the Bollywood film industry for over a decade, and has already taken top spots in Google's "Year in Search" report for the past couple of years. All the credit for it goes to her popularity among fans with a strong online presence.
Alia and Deepika, who are also successful actresses, can be aiming to challenge Katrina for the top spot in the coming years. But, for now, there’s no looking back for Katrina to being the undisputed queen of the search engine.
