South Korean actress Lee Na-eun, known for her role in 'Extraordinary You,' has been in constant spotlight due to her dating rumours with soccer star Lee Kang-in. A K-media outlet, The Fact, has spotted them together in various places, which include Na-eun’s residence, her car, and the National Soccer Team’s dorms. Back in November 2023, they were also reportedly seen together at the Korean National Team’s hotel ahead of a qualifying game for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Despite ongoing rumors that began in April 2023, the actress has consistently denied any romantic relationship with the footballer. Now, her agency has stepped in and denied all claims of the two dating, highlighting that they are just close friends and nothing more. They said, "As a result of confirmation, Lee Na-eun and Lee Kang-in are merely acquaintances and not lovers." The statement was released soon after The Fact had seen the two together.
After receiving an anonymous tip, cameras followed the two for many days. Soon after, in an interview, Na-eun was asked about her relationship status with Kang-in, yet again. She took a brief pause before acknowledging her meetups with Kang-in and cautiously replied, “I am not in a romantic relationship.” She went on to jokingly say that she would meet him only "to get game tickets."
Lee Na-eun, a member of the girl group April that disbanded in 2022, stepped foot in the entertainment industry in 2015. Moving to acting in 2017, she gained recognition through the television series 'My Father Is Strange.' Currently, she's prepping for her upcoming role in the drama series 'Flex x Cop.' Meanwhile, Lee Kang-in is a midfielder for the Korean national team, and is affiliated with FC Paris Saint-Germain.
