Last year was a great one for Indian cinema and artistes. Several Indian films were screened at various international film festivals while many celebs earned recognition in the global arena. From MM Keeravani, and Guneet Monga to Vir Das, several talents were honoured internationally in 2023. Also, actors like Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt among others garnered love and appreciation for their work in international projects. Priyanka was seen in 'Citadel' while Alia made her Hollywood debut in 'Heart of Stone' with Gal Gadot.
In the past, Anupam Kher, Naseeruddin Shah, Irrfan Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone among others have done Western projects. Year 2024 also seems promising for Indian actors as they are all set to star in international projects.

Ishaan Khatter - 'The Perfect Couple'
Actor Ishaan Khatter is making his Hollywood debut in the upcoming Netflix series, 'The Perfect Couple,' with Nicole Kidman. Directed by Susanne Bier, it is a six-part series which is an adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand's novel. Earlier, Ishaan shared that he spent four months shooting for the project on Cape Cod for the project. It also stars Liev Schreiber, Dakota Fanning, and Eve Hewson among others.
Adarsh Gourav - 'Alien' prequel series
Adarsh Gourav is one of the versatile actors who has proved his mettle in films like 'The White Tiger' and the recently released 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan'. He will star in Ridley Scott's acclaimed 'Alien' prequel series. The Bafta-nominated actor will play a significant role in it. The series is directed and written by Noah Hawley and it will unfold 70 years before the events depicted in the initial 'Alien' film from 1979.
Ali Fazal - 'Afghan Dreamers'
Ali Fazal, who earlier in several international projects will be seen in the upcoming film 'Afghan Dreamers'. It is directed by two-time Oscar winner Bill Guttentag. Ali had earlier worked in Hollywood films like 'Victoria and Abdul', 'Furious 5', 'Death on the Nile' and 'Kandahar'. Ali is playing the lead in 'Afghan Dreamers'. The movie revolves around the true story of a program started by Afghan tech entrepreneur Roya Mahboob in 2017, to empower young women in science and technology despite the challenges in the patriarchal society.
Richa Chadha - 'Aaina'
Richa Chadha, who has delivered some stellar acts in her career span is all set to make her international debut in the Indo-British production 'Aaina'. The 'Gangs Of Wasseypur' actress has teamed up with 'Chronicles of Narnia' fame William Mosley for the film. It is directed by newcomer Markus Meedt. The film will explore the repercussions of the cycle of violence, delving into its effects within cultures and on individuals through the lens of PTSD. The narrative is set in both London and India.
Neha Dhupia - 'Blue 52'
Neha Dhupia is making her international film debut in the upcoming family drama 'Blue 52'. It is directed by Egyptian filmmaker Ali El Arabi. The film will show the dynamics between a son and mother, intertwined with football, set in the locales of Kochi, India, and Qatar. It is likely to hit the screens in 2024.
Sobhita Dhulipala and Sikandar Kher
Sikandar Kher and Shobhita Dhulipala are also making their international debut in the action thriller film 'Monkey Man'. It is directed by 'Slumdog Millionaire' fame Dev Patel. 'Monkey Man' marks his directorial debut and it is also co-written by Patel, along with Paul Angunawela, and John Collee. Dev Patel will also star in it with Sharlto Copley, Sikandar and Shobhita. The narrative will show Dev Patel's character who was once an imprisoned man trying to confront a world entangled in corporate greed and diminishing spiritual values.
