Mahadev Book App Online Betting Case: Ranbir Kapoor Summoned By Enforcement Directorate

Many actors and singers have come under the radar of the Enforcement Directorate (ED). This pertains to their involvement in the Mahadev Book app online betting case. Now, Ranbir Kapoor has been summoned by the ED for questioning on Friday, October 6.

As per a report on India Today, the actor promoted a subsidiary app, which was also promoted by Mahadev Book app promoters. Not only that, but the report also says that RK had taken money in cash for the aforementioned promotions.

For the unversed, Mahadev Book app is an online betting platform. They’re being questioned by the ED and police departments of various states across India.

The India Today report also mentions that there is digital evidence gathered by the ED to the tune of Rs 112 crore and that was delivered via hawala to an event management company. As per the reports, this money was used for the payment of hotel bookings, costing around Rs 42 crore, which was made in cash.

Ranbir Kapoor might not be the only B-Townie to be called up for a probe in this case. Many other actors and singers are also likely to be summoned to present their side of the tale in the ongoing investigation into Mahadev Book app’s online betting case.

The promoter of Mahadev Book app is Sourabh Chandrakar, based in UAE. It’s being reported many celebs like Tiger Shroff, Sunny Leone, Neha Kakkar, Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Ali Asgar, Vishal Dadlani, Elli AvrRam, Bharti Singh, Bhagyashree, Kriti Kharbanda, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Krushna Abhishek and Sukhwinder Singh allegedly attended his wedding ceremony in February.
