A shocking video depicting the distressing scene of two women being publicly humiliated by a group of men in Manipur has gone viral on social media. This has prompted widespread outrage and demands for immediate action. The incident has appalled political figures and the general public alike, who have taken to social media to express their dismay and call upon both the central and state governments to bring those responsible for this heinous act to justice. Such a display of inhumanity goes beyond all boundaries of decency.
Celebs also open up about the ghastly inhumane crime and demand for adequate justice. Here’s what a few of your favourite celebs have to say about the shocking viral video:
Well, I am absolutely aghast to see the video. It's a very ghastly sight. The more you say something about it the less it is. I think it is the most inhuman kind of act and I am surprised this is happening in Manipur. The only thing that disturbs me a lot is when certain politicians, especially in the opposition, start a political game over this, which is very disheartening. And it's heartbreaking that they start to blame the opposition leaders and start a blame game. The focus shifts from what is to be done and it shifts to politics. I would really request the government to seriously take action and not get into a political blame game. It is really saddening and it's very painful to see something like this happening in our society. And I think the criminals should be punished with a death sentence because this should be set as an example for anyone who has these kinds of thoughts or any particular section of society has this kind of mindset that they should restrain from even thinking in these lines.
The modesty of two tribal women from Manipur were outraged on 4th May. They were paraded naked, fondled and beaten in full public glare. A disturbing video taken by a perpetrator leaked and got viral today. This breaks all levels of humanity. Nothing justifies what I just saw in that video. These men must be brought to justice - nothing less than the most brutal form of punishment legally allowed.
This is absolutely shameful. It is ridiculous. I feel that women assault and gang rapes needs to be disappeared from one's brains. I don't know what's wrong with people's minds. I think Smriti Ji is doing a fab job. She's doing her best by speaking with the CM of the state to resolve the matter. I think these issues need to be addressed via education. And by taking strong actions against the people doing this, because this causes a lot of harm and trauma to the victim. So we need to do something to seek justice for the victims and this needs to be resolved ASAP. I mean, this is absolutely inhuman.
The video showing three women paraded naked and later raped by a mob is devastating. It takes to the primitive era where the tribals would hunt their Shikar jointly. Today when we are talking about becoming a superpower or a vishwaguru this kind of incident makes the world laugh at us. I pray the state government takes beyond strict measures that’s needed to put a full stop completely to such heinous acts.
