Manisha Koirala is one of the most versatile actors and there is no doubt about it. She has come a long way in her career and has left a mark in the industry with her stellar performances. Manisha also dabbled in the OTT space with 'Maska' where she played a substantial role. She will be next seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Heeramandi' which will release on the OTT giant Netflix.

In an interview with Outlook, the actress said that with the advent of OTT, she has got to play better roles. Manisha feels that it has opened the scope for a 'newer concept, newer storyline, newer thing' and she also said that now it's "not just a typical Bollywood per se storylines but they go out of the box scenario. So, Yes. OTT has opened up scope for actors, actresses, writers, directors".

She further said, "OTT definitely has helped a lot. In fact, the more I see OTT, it's totally content driven. It's not driven by hero or heroine per se but it's driven by content. So, whatever the plot is and whoever is supposed to lead the plot they do it. That's what I see. It's not gender-based."

When she was asked if she ever faced discrimination in the industry, the actress said, "Discrimination is always a human nature. One cannot really go past that. But it all depends on how was your attitude towards life." She added, "Life is not perfect, people are not perfect. I am not perfect. We all have our own faults. So, we work with around that or we work with that and one has to move with that, right?"

The 'Dil Se' actress also said that stereotype would bomb her. She wants newer kinds of characters, plots, and genres and feels fortunate that she is getting that type of work in today's time.

Manisha also revealed that she has let go of a few films and she has regretted not doing it. "Those are the part of the decisions one has to make- some good and some bad decisions," she added.
