Filmmaking duo, Raj & DK, have understood the demands of the OTT audience. They delivered ‘The Family Man’ and ‘Farzi’ which went on to break records in the OTT sphere. These shows have a separate fan base of their own. After the release of ‘Farzi’, some fans took to social media and drew comparisons between the two shows. They speculated that they might merge in the future. In a recent interview, Manoj Bajpayee put an end to this speculation and revealed the bigger picture.

Speaking to Lallantop, actor Manoj Bajpayee has responded to the potential merging of the universe of ‘The Family Man’ and ‘Farzi’. The actor said, “I don’t think this will happen. Right now, we have to complete the four seasons of Family Man. We have to finish that commitment first then we will think something. But I don’t think these universes will be merged because Family Man in itself is a very big universe. I don’t think Raj and DK and Amazon would want to mix it with something else.”

Eagle-eyed fans have spotted cross-references between the two shows. These Easter eggs fuelled these speculations. In an earlier interview, the writer of ‘The Family Man’ addressed these rumours. Suparn S Varma did not reveal a lot, but he asked the fans to enjoy the show. Speaking to Indian Express, Suparn said, “Let fans of both the shows have fun till Season 3 comes out. That’s the fun of it. That’s the beautiful relationship the audience creates when they love a show and love the characters of the show.”

‘The Family Man’ has not begun the shoot of its third season as of now. The show is expected to have four seasons.
