Actor Manoj Bajpayee has yet again enthraled the audience with another hard-hitting performance in 'Joram'. In his career span of so many years, the three-time National Award-winning actor has delivered some pathbreaking films like 'Bandit Queen', 'Satya', 'Pinjar', ' Zubeidaa', 'Gangs Of Wasseypur', 'Bhonsle', and 'Bandaa' among others. Hansal Mehta's 'Aligarh' is also one of his best works. In an interview, Bajpayee opened up about his wife Shabana Raza's reactions to his films.
Manoj said that he doesn't share scripts of his projects with her as he wants to surprise her with his work. He told The Lallantop that Shabana always complains that he doesn't share scripts with her. ''I wait for the reaction and emotions that follow after surprising her. The biggest compliments and criticism I get are by Shabana. So whatever she feels after seeing the film should be first. So I don’t share scripts and she complains a lot about it. There have been fights about the same, he said.
Manoj Bajpayee also recalled his wife's reaction when he showed her 'Aligarh' in Hansal Mehta’s edit room. Manoj said that he and Hansal were chatting while Shabana watched it. He added, “I went inside and the film had just ended. I was like ‘has it ended?’ Shabana did not even look at me, she went straight out and climbed down four floors, took an auto and went home. She cried a lot at home. So I wait for reactions like this.”
'The Family Man' actor also said he also gets reactions like ‘yeh kya bakwaas hai?’ He didn’t mention the film's name but said that his wife was very upset over it. Shabana called him and said, “Apne jeevan mai, kisi sharmindagi wale kaam karne se pehle soch lena ki mujhe tumse ashayein hai. Aage se mujhe aise sharmindagi ka ehsaas bilkul nahi chahiye. We can go to Delhi or we can go back to your village and settle down. But I don’t want such type of embarrassment''.
