South Korean actor Lee Yi-kyung has recently gained attention, thanks to the success of his latest K-drama, 'Marry My Husband.' As he portrays a character's love interest in the show, fans are curious to know about his real life's relationship status, which has led to numerous speculations about a potential romantic interest.
The 35-year-old actor made a recent appearance on Yoo Jae-suk's show 'Hangout With Yoo.' During the show, Mijoo, a former Lovelyz member and fellow participant, was playfully teased by the national MC about her secretive relationship. Jae-suk teased Mijoo, stating that he knows who she's dating but did not disclose the identity of the said person.
Speculation emerged about Mijoo's potential relationship with a person, who follows Christianity, fuelled by her attendance at church. Some even speculated that Lee Yi-kyung might be her romantic interest. However, Lee Yi-kyung amusingly debunked the baseless rumours, stating, "She goes to church, and I go to the temple. I've bowed 108 times." This response clarified that he is not romantically involved with the K-pop star.
But, this isn't the first time the two have made news for being each other's love interest. In previous instances, their onstage chemistry during their performance of 'Trouble Maker' at the 2022 MBC Entertainment Awards, had ignited many rumours. However, as the 'Welcome to Waikiki' actor accepted the Popularity Award on the same stage, he emphasized upon his strong bond of friendship with Mijoo. He stated that, "I prefer taking care of Mijoo rather than dating her, even if she is the last girl on Earth."
