The 72nd Miss Universe pageant is going to take place in San Salvador, El Salvador on November 18. Shweta Sharda is set to represent India. She is from Chandigarh and is 23 years old. The beauty pageant will be hosted by the TV presenters, Jeannie Mai Jenkins and Maria Menounos and former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo. John Legend, the 12-time Grammy winner will perform live at the event. In an interview with Femina, Shweta said that her mission is to empower girls to chase their dreams. ''I believe in myself, and it is very human to doubt yourself, but you need to keep the naysayers at bay and goals in sight and pay attention to your inner voice because that will help you create an aspiring reality. I stand here to inspire everyone and help them chase their dreams fearlessly,'' she added.

Shweta Sharda was born on May 24, 2000, in Chandigarh. She was raised by a single mother.
Sharda received her bachelor's degree from the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
As per a report in Femina, the diva shifted to Mumbai at the age of 16 to pursue a career in modelling.
She also appeared in several reality shows like 'Dance Deewane', 'Dance India Dance', and 'Dance Plus'. Sharda was also one of the choreographers on the dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa'.
She also featured in a music video for the song 'Mast Aankhein' which was crooned by Jubin Nautiyal and Tulsi Kumar. She was seen in 'Gangubai Kathiwadi' with actor Shantanu Maheshwari in the video.
On August 28, Ms Sharda was crowned Miss Diva Universe 2023. She also won awards for Miss Body Beautiful and Miss Talented.
