Monica Bedi says that there needs to be a system where one can reach out to a particular government or police cell and directly report child labour cases. The actress says that these kids must be rescued at any cost.

“It is really heartbreaking for me when I see this happening and I feel so helpless. We need to have a number where we can complain about people who are making this happen. This is so shameful that there is no action taken for this. We can't keep on talking and I feel helpless that nothing can be done. If their childhood is not taken care of the kids would get into wrongdoings from stealing, drugs to begging,” she says.

She adds, “Also, for people who keep kids as their servants, these people should be punished. I think when celebrities talk a small awareness is spread. Everyone should voice their opinions and we also need to change ourselves first. Be it a celeb or a common man one should raise their voice and initiative should be taken. Child labour is happening all around and should be stopped.”
