Muskan Bamne, who shot to fame with her role of Pakhi in ‘Anupamaa’, has quit the hit television show after being associated with it for three years. The actor revealed that she made this decision because she was not comfortable with the direction her character was being led to.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Muskan Bamne revealed why she quit ‘Anupamaa.’ She mentioned that her character was supposed to go through a change. She said, “It was not working out for me. The makers are introducing a track, in which I am supposed to play the role of a mother. They want to show my baby, which would be born through IVF. But I didn't want to do it as I am too young for this. So we decided not to part ways.”
The 24-year-old actor mentioned that she does not have any negative feelings. She added that she took that step because she was afraid of receiving similar roles from other producers and directors. A few days ago, Muskan Bamne shared a series of photos from her time on the sets of ‘Anupamaa’ on her Instagram. She penned an emotional note where she wrote about how much she learned from the show and how grateful she was for the opportunity. Her co-star Ashish Mehrotra also shared a sweet message for her.
She revealed that she is on the lookout for new projects where she plays the lead role. She mentioned that she is open to working on films and OTT as well. She said, “I am looking for a lead role only because I don't want to let the name and fame I have earned in last three years go waste.”
A report by The Times Of India revealed that Chandni Bhagwanani has been roped in for the role of Pakhi.
