Nargis Fakhri has been one of the very few actresses who have never shied away from talking about body positivity. She had been trolled quite often on social media, whenever she posts a picture where it seems that she has gained a bit of weight. That, however, hasn’t stopped her from giving it back to the trolls and talking more fervently about body positivity.

Speaking about if Bollywood has created unrealistic standards of beauty, Nargis Fakhri says, “I think it’s not the industry but the people in general and people expecting so much from us which I can understand. It’s tough I am not going to lie. To be slim, and look perfect causes a bit of stress and it’s not the easiest. All my ladies out there know that it’s a job. To get your nails done, to make sure your body is in shape, you eat properly, sleep properly, make sure your hair is coloured, your skin looks glowing, etc. It’s a lot to have to worry about.”

It's not just this, even the stress of social media is added to this. “With the social media and all the filters, the expectation is even more which is tough. I really wish we can find a way to not have this pressure on us the way it is at this moment in time. I also understand we are looked up to and people want to see us glamorous.”

On the work front, Nargis Fakhri has made a comeback to the silver screen after a long time with ‘Shiv Shastri Balboa’. The film has been garnering some great reviews. Besides her, the film also stars Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Sharib Hashmi and many others.
