Nayanthara is certainly one of the top stars of the South film industry and is often hailed as the female superstar. And why not? She has made a mark for herself in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema, and has survived for around 19 years in the industry. But just like every artist, her journey too has been full of ups and downs, which she calls nothing but a 'learning experience.'
During a recent interaction with Indian Express, Nayanthara recalled an incident of casting couch during the initial stage of her career, when she was asked to compromise for some 'favours' so that he can get a pivotal role in a film. However, Nayanthara refused it and was confident enough to build her career based on merit.
Recently, the actress also opened up on how whatever she has gone through has only helped it in her craft. "Whatever mistakes I have made, the good and bad phases, everything is good now. It is all a learning experience." She added that It is not easy to be in the industry for 18-19 years, but the audience and God has been kind to her. "I feel blessed. I don’t know how to put the whole thing together."
Last year, Nayanthara tied the knot with filmmaker Vignesh Shivan married in Chennai on June 9. The wedding, although intimate, was attended by the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, AR Rahman, Suriya, and Rajinikanth. A few months later, the couple welcomed two boys Uyir and Ulagam via surrogacy.
On the work front, Nayanthara was last seen in the horror flick ‘Connect’, and is all set for her Bollywood debut in Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Jawan’.
