Neel Samarthh who is known for his roles in shows such as ‘Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant’, ‘Waaris’, ‘Kundali Bhagya’, ‘Sapnon Ki Chhalaang’, says that portrayals on TV have drastically changed. He says that when he joined the industry, people wanted over-the-top acting.

“In recent years, I've observed significant changes in the TV industry, and I must say that I'm quite pleased with these developments. When I initially started on TV, it often demanded exaggerated and unrealistic acting. However, as time has passed, I've noticed that every year and every day, a new generation of individuals is entering the industry with fresh and more realistic ideas. This evolution has not only influenced the way TV is produced but has also contributed to my growth as an artist. I've been exposed to better perspectives and ideas, which has helped me improve my craft. I'm optimistic about the future and hope that the industry continues to improve day by day. Additionally, I've noticed that the audience has evolved along with these changes and appreciates the new and more authentic approach to TV content,” he says.

Ask him what kind of roles he is looking for, and he says, “I've always been on the lookout for roles that involve characters with a gangster or crime thriller vibe. For instance, characters similar to Vivek Oberoi's role in ‘Company’, or roles in films like ‘Gangajal’, ‘Shootout At Lokhandwala’, ‘Rajneeti’, and my personal favourite, ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’. More recently, I've been captivated by characters like Avinash Tiwary's role in ‘Bambai Meri Jaan’. I'm truly obsessed with such intense and intriguing characters.”

He adds, “I have always been versatile and have portrayed all kinds of roles but I feel my dream role is yet to come.”
