Akshay Kumar is one such actor in Bollywood who does back-to-back movies in a single year. After announcing ‘Mission Ranigaj’ recently, today on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, he announced yet another film titled ‘Sky Force’. Taking to his Instagram handle, Akshay shared a clip and informed that the film will release next year on October 2. The movie is about ‘India’s first and deadliest air strike’.
In the one-minute-long clip, there is a voiceover threatening India ahead of the 1965 war. The text in the clip read, "Muhammad Ayub Khan, president of Pakistan, 6th September 1965, India-Pakistan war." Then an old video of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri is shown where he was responding to the threat. Next, the video has another text, "The untold true story of India's first and deadliest air strike."
Sharing the video on Instagram, Akshay wrote, "Aaj Gandhi-Shastri Jayanti ke din saara desh keh raha hai (Today on the day of Gandhi-Shastri Jayanti, the whole country is saying) – Jai Jawan, Jai Kisaan, Jai Vigyaan, Jai Anusadhan. No better day than today to announce the incredible story of Sky Force: Our untold story of India’s first and deadliest airstrike. Give it love, please. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat. Presented by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan, Sky Force takes flight in cinemas on 2nd October 2024."
‘Sky Force’ also stars Veer Pahariya and it marks his Bollywood debut. The movie has been directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur and is presented by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan. Sandeep Kewlani has written it.
Recently, Akki announced 'Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue' also co-starring Parineeti Chopra. It is releasing on October 6. Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, 'Mission Raniganj' is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Ajay Kapoor.
Akshay also has the Hindi remake of Suriya starrer 'Soorarai Pottru'. He will also be seen in 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' alongside Tiger Shroff. 'Welcome To The Jungle' and 'Housefull 5' are also there in his kitty.
