After keeping the audience on their toes for long, ‘Panchayat’ is almost here with a new season. The loved TVF show is back with a new season this summer. As the audience gears up for the release of ‘Panchayat 3’, director Deepak Kumar Mishra has confirmed that season four of this franchise is already in the pipeline.
In a conversation with PTI, Deepak Kumar Mishra revealed how he plans to take the ‘Panchayat’ franchise ahead. The director confirmed that the fourth installment is in the works. He also confirmed that a fifth installment of this show is also in the pipeline. He said, “We have started writing season four. For us, generally, there's no break between two seasons. The third season is over, and we have written three to four episodes (of season four) of the show. So far, we have thought about making seasons four and five. For season four, we have a clear idea, and there is a broader idea for season five.”
Talking about ‘Panchayat 3’, Mishra mentioned that the franchise has been successful because they have maintained the ‘core soul’. He continued, “We made sure that we made the right content and retained the core soul of the show. We wanted to take the story forward organically. However, we have to make sure that the new season is more entertaining and emotional.”
‘Panchayat’ revolves around an engineering graduate who takes up the post of a secretary in a panchayat office in Phulera village. The show stars Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, Durgesh Kumar, and Sanvikaa in lead roles. The third season will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
