Bollywood actor and Dharmendra's grandson Karan Deol recently tied the knot with long-time girlfriend and now wife, Drisha Acharya. "The beginning of a beautiful journey in our lives," Karan wrote on Instagram. "We are overwhelmingly thankful for the abundant blessings and well wishes that surround us!"
The wedding reception saw Bollywood -- past and present -- mark their attendance at the evening hosted by one of Hindi cinema's ruling families. Drisha, too, is the pioneering Bimal Roy's great-granddaughter. From Aamir Khan, Salman Khan to Jackie Shroff, Anupam Kher, Suniel Shetty and Subhash Ghai, and of course the extended Deol family, it was an event to remember.
Now, adding to the excitement, some new pictures from the event have diverted the focus on Deol women. Known for keeping a low profile, Dharmendra’s wife Prakash Kaur and Sunny Deol’s wife Pooja feature in the photos as they pose with the newlyweds. Dharmendra and Prakash pose together in one of the photos. Pooja, meanwhile poses with Sunny, sons Karan and Rajvir, and Drisha.
Earlier, Anupam Kher shared pictures from the wedding where he’s seen with his 90’s contemporaries — ‘Dil’ co-star Aamir Khan, ‘Hum Aapke Hai Koun’ co-star Salman Khan and ‘Darr’ co-star Sunny.
He captioned the post as, “Class of 90s. Actors from a pre mobile phones and vanity vans era. When we shared stories! When we shared make up rooms. When we changed costumes in open, behind trees and umbrellas and laughed….. Still going strong!! Still reinventing! Still matter!!’
