The makers of highly-anticipated film 'Project K', starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, have finally unveiled the first glimpse at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), with the official title announcement. The film is now officially titled 'Kalki2898AD'.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, 'Kalki 2898 AD' promises to take the audiences to a world set in the distant future of 2898 AD.
Prabhas, who was part of the panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, was asked about his role in the mythological sci-fi film. To which he said, "He's a superhero but he's really funny. I like the way Nagi designed it. I think he's the only funny guy in Project K. Nagi is very good with emotions and the film is strong with emotions. I am the only comedian in the film."
For the unversed, Prabhas reportedly plays Lord Vishnu in the film.
'Kalki 2898 AD' is also written by Nag Ashwin. The sci-fi film, which was announced on Vyjayanthi Movies's 50th anniversary, is backed with a massive budget of Rs 600 crore. It will be released in theaters on January 12, 2024.
Along with the star cast, Disha Patani plays an important role in the film.
