This week saw the release of two most anticipated films of the year. On one hand, there is Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Dunki.’ On the other, there is Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire.’ Prithviraj Sukumaran opened up about this clash of the two big films and noted how it does not affect him.
Speaking to India Today, Prithviraj Sukumaran said, “No, it (the clash) doesn’t (bother me) because I treat my successes and failures the same way. I walk away from it. There will be lessons that you will learn from both. Learn those, don’t let them go, and then walk away from it.”
He added that he delivers more than required in every film that he has worked in. He also said, “I am a staunch believer in giving my 120 percent to every film I do. Do all you can for the film, and come that Friday, walk away from it.” The actor said that the outcome of ‘Salaar’ will not bother him. Even if the film goes on to be a blockbuster or tanks at the box office, the actor noted how it will be the same for him.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, ‘Salaar’ is a story of two friends and how a turn of events makes them foes. The film stars Shruti Hassan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Ramana, and Easwari Rao in pivotal roles. According to the producers, the sequel of the film is in the works and it will hit the theatres next year. This film marks Prabhas’ second film of the year after ‘Adipurush’ which proved to be a box office flop. It earned Rs 288.15 crore against a budget of Rs 600 crore.
