Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who is looking forward to the release of the Russo Brothers’ web series Citadel, revealed that when her name changed from Priyanka Chopra to Priyanka Chopra Jonas on the posters after her marriage, she made her husband and American singer, Nick Jonas take notice so that he knows how much she loves him.

During one of her latest interviews, Priyanka shared the excitement she feels about seeing her name on billboards and buildings. She told FOX5, “There’s a movie I did which was based on an Olympic female boxer champion. Her name was Mary Kom and it said ‘Priyanka Chopra in an as Mary Kom’. I remember seeing that for the first time, the gravity of it….Then my TV series Quantico came out, I remember at Sunset Boulevard my face on a building and my name on top. It’s really mind-boggling when you see that. Your name in sparkling letters, it is tantalizing, it’s very exciting to see that.”

After her marriage to Nick, Priyanka added Jonas to her name on Instagram. Also, she was introduced as ‘Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ in her movies and shows. The actor joked, “It’s a reminder to people that I am taken.” However, she dropped the surname later to keep the same username on both, Twitter and Instagram.

The first time when Priyanka saw ‘Jonas’ added to her name during her introduction, she made Nick see it. “For the first time when I saw it, I think it was the Matrix or one of my other movies or my book or something. I looked at my husband and I was like, ‘You know right. That I love you. Can you tell? You better know that.’ But of course, the gravity of the decision and also the fact that my name and my identity have evolved in the 22-23 years that I’ve been doing this,” said the actor.

Priyanka then added that people may call her by any name, but the excitement of seeing her name ‘up there’ is always the same. “I think the excitement is still seeing yourself up there. You can call me Priyanka, you can call me Pri, you can call me PCJ, whatever. It doesn’t change the fact that it’s me up there and that’s exciting,” she shared.
