Recently, at the promotional event of Mannara Chopra's upcoming film 'Thiragabadara Saami', filmmaker AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary kissed the actress on her cheek without her consent as they posed together. Mannara seemed to be shocked and uncomfortable at the sudden gesture by the filmmaker. The video from the event has gone viral on social media.
The filmmaker faced criticism on social media for his act while a section of netizens called it a promotional gimmick.
Reacting to the incident, Mannara shared a video of Priyanka Chopra on her Instagram stories where she was saying- “Guys please, let me just tell you this. No matter what you do, someone will always be unhappy. Always. You can never please everyone all the time.”
She also shared a video from the event and wrote in the caption, ''Didn’t know that the promotion of my film will take an unexpected turn !!''. She added, ''Everything I wanted to express is already covered in the video above. I kindly request media outlets to respect my need for space; I’m not ready to share further details at this moment.''
