Priyanshu Chatterjee is someone whom we all remember for his terrific performance in ‘Tum Bin’. While he hasn’t been much in the limelight, slowly and steadily, he has been working on some great projects.

He has come up with ‘Fireflies’, which was released on Zee5 recently. The show has garnered a great response from audiences all over. Talking to Prateek Sur, Priyanshu Chatterjee opens up about why he took up ‘Fireflies’, the challenges he faced while the shoot and lots more. Excerpts:

Tell us about your character in the series?

Dr Negi is a committed-to-work kind of person, a loving father and husband, and ethically upright. He is a no-nonsense person; a stoic kind of a character that I loved playing.

This is your third web series on OTT. What made you say yes to this project?

This project had a lot of new things for me to do as an actor. I had never been part of a fantasy drama show and I have never played a doctor, a father of two and the complications that the family deal with. So, these things were new to me and as an actor my whole zest is to try out new things and this project was the same as I wanted and I'm glad that I did.

The series is shot in the picturesque locations of Himachal Pradesh. Which was the most challenging scene to shoot?

Yes, the location was beautiful, and I loved going back to Himachal after a while. The most difficult part was shooting in the rain at night in a forest that had a tricky terrain, it had sort of a mountainous terrain so to run and to do any kind of action there was tricky and difficult. But we had a good team with us so we could get by without any injuries.
