Rajshri Deshpande is one of the most underrated actors. She appeared in several films and shows like 'Talaash', 'Kick', 'Sexy Durga', and 'Sacred Games', among others. She was last seen in the Netflix series 'Trial by Fire' with Abhay Deol. In an interview, Rajshri opened up that after the success of 'Sacred Games' and 'Sexy Durga', she would only get offers for parts which involved intimate scenes.
Rajshri told Film Companion that after 'Sacred Games' she left Mumbai for a couple of years because she was building a school in her village with her NGO.
She revealed in the interview that when 'Sacred Games' was starting, her Malayalam film 'Sexy Durga' got embroiled in a lot of controversy and many people in the industry assumed that she wants to do controversial roles and intimate scenes. She recalled of getting offers to do intimate scenes and there were no scripts. “I was getting calls like ‘this has intimate scenes but you are comfortable with it, right?’ I was like ‘what is the script? who is doing it?'," said Deshpande.
Sh added, “At that time, 'Sexy Durga' was also everywhere. So everyone used to think that you can do a controversial film, you can do intimate scenes, so they already had a check list. They said you fit into this and you do it. There was no script, nothing.”
