Yash starrer 'KGF: Chapter 1 and 2' have been blockbusters in India. Both parts of the franchise broke several box office records. Recently, the 'KGF' series and Ram Charan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu starter 'Rangasthalam' released in Japan. To everyone's surprise, Chittibabu is doing well in Japan and it has been giving competition to Rocky Bhai. In fact, the Sukumar directorial has broken all records with its Japan release.
'KGF' was a huge success in India and as the promotions of 'Rangasthlam' was less, it failed to reach the audience of other languages. But at Japan's box office, it is creating magic and Ram Charan's mania has taken over the country. It hit the screens in India in 2018. Reportedly, the film has minted a whopping Rs 14 lakh on its first day of release in Japan and even broke records of Ram Charan and Jr NTR's 'RRR'. For the unversed, 'Rangasthlam' got a better response in advance booking too in Japan than Prasanth Neel's directorial.
Anbarasi Duraipandian, the CEO of SPACEBOX Japan distributors of the film, in a statement, said, "We, SPACEBOX released Rangasthalamm in Japan in about 50 screens and we are planning to release it in many theaters in the coming weeks. Ram Charan holds a special place in the heart of the Japanese people, and the reaction to the film proves it. It makes us extremely proud to bring a film like Rangasthalam to the audiences in Japan. The film is truly a cinematic masterpiece and it is an honour for SPACEBOX to be able to release it here."
