Rekha turns a year older today on October 10. She is still an enigma, a diva, and everyone from all age groups absolutely loves her. Today on her birthday, here’s talking to some of the most popular names on TV about their favourite movie of Rekha.
Sudhanshu Pandey
My favourite film of Rekhaji is ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’ where she from a plain jane becomes an absolute diva. In real life too, she is growing more and more beautiful and she's eternally beautiful and she will only be growing young.
Charrul Malik
I have grown up watching Rekhaji's movies. My mother was a fan of Rekhaji. My favourite film of hers is ‘Umrao Jaan’ and when she enters a room everything around just fades. Her style statement, gajra and kanjivaram sarees are unbeatable. She has a beautiful voice and she sings so well. I really admire her style, personality, aura, acting and finesse.
Mitaali Nag
Rekha ji is a true example of timeless beauty. I happened to have a rendezvous with her as she had promoted my last show. She is a real diva. So humble and down to earth. My all-time favourite movie of hers is ‘Ijaazat’. She has acted so subtle yet powerful. I also like ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’. She has done a phenomenal job while showing the transformation.
Prateik Chaudhary
‘Judaai’ is my all-time favourite movie of legend Rekha ji. Because I really loved the story and her performance and also Rekha ji’s chemistry with Jitendra ji. That movie is still evergreen.
Nikhil Nanda
Rekha has in a real sense outlived her age. She can compete with many younger actresses today. My personal favourite movie of hers is the movie ‘Khubsurat’. I really liked the role that she played.
