On January 26, India is celebrating its 75th Republic Day. Celebrities have extended their heartfelt wishes to their fans and also shared fond memories associated with it.

Actress Avika Gor said celebrities play a crucial role in fostering patriotism and unity on Republic Day by using their platforms to inspire and educate.

Speaking about how she is looking forward to the big day, Avika shared, “I'm thrilled to be invited to a school for flag hoisting and spending time with the children. It feels like an honour, as such invitations are usually extended to those who are respected. I'm genuinely excited and looking forward to the same”. 

When asked about how a public figure, can contribute to promoting patriotism and unity on Republic Day, Avika responded, “Celebrities play a crucial role in fostering patriotism and unity on Republic Day by using their platforms to inspire and educate. Whether through social media messages, participating in community events, or supporting initiatives that celebrate diversity and national pride, celebrities can influence positive change and encourage a sense of unity among their followers”.

Sharing her special memories associated with this day, Avika shared, “One of my cherished memories is watching the parade with my grandfather, who served in the Air Force. Every year, he made sure we woke up early to enjoy the event together. It's a special and favourite memory of mine”.

While 'Bigg Boss' fame Nikki Tamboli said, “This Republic Day, I'm excited to celebrate the spirit of unity and diversity with everyone, I will be participating in an event for the flag hosting, expressing my gratitude for the nation”.

When asked a public figure, how do you think celebrities can contribute to promoting patriotism and unity on Republic Day, Nikki responded, “Celebrities, have a special role in subtly nurturing patriotism and unity. Through inspiring words, charitable endeavours, or involvement in national events, their actions can quietly resonate with millions, cultivating a subtle sense of pride and togetherness.”

Sharing her special memories associated with this day, Nikki shared, “Republic Day holds a special place in my heart. One cherished memory involves my childhood when I was in school! I used to always participate in the grand parade and flag hoisting with my classmates, followed up with speeches where we used to reinforce the importance of our democratic values and the incredible progress our nation has made”.

Rajniesh Duggall said that making the country proud is a priority. He also shared his Republic Day plans which are filled with patriotism and personal connections. Drawing inspiration from his family's military background, he emphasizes how celebrities, like himself, can contribute to unity and pride on this important national occasion.

''The plan is to start by attending the Republic Day celebrations in the building, which includes flag hoisting, flowers, and a parade. Afterwards, the idea is to go for a drive to Mumbai's recently opened longest bridge to commemorate Republic Day,'' said the actor.

He also said that 26th January and 15th August hold deep significance for him. ''My maternal lineage, deeply rooted in the army and police, instilled in me a profound connection and patriotism. Representing India, whether through mannerisms abroad or any aspect, is crucial. As an actor and frequent traveller, leaving a positive impression becomes inevitable. Making my country proud is a priority, and with the current government, India is gaining global recognition as a powerhouse,'' he shared.

Sharing his special memories Rajniesh said, ''In my childhood, every 26th of January and 15th of August, we would gather around the TV to watch the Republic Day parade. Sometimes, my uncle would take us to India Gate for the live experience. After the festivities, our large joint family would come together for a special day. We'd play sports like cricket, have picnics, and create cherished memories during our family get-togethers''.
