Salman Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have proved to be a hit actor-director duo. In fact, they were slated to mark their reunion with ‘Inshallah’, but owing to reported creative differences, the duo fell apart and the film got shelved. However, it looks like Salman is now keen on reviving the film, and he even reached out to Bhansali for the same.
As per reports, Salman called Bhansali for the project. A friend of Salman informed a portal, “Salman has reached out to Bhansali. Inshallah was a brilliant love story, very fresh and audacious. It is something Salman would like to try at this point in his career.”
Reportedly, Salman is not looking to work with his brothers as a goodwill gesture. Hence, he is looking to experiment and try different scripts now. “Salman is looking for the right script. I don’t mean action-packed or drama-driven. It has to be something Salman hasn’t done before, preferably something that is relevant and yet personal,” the friend of Salman told the portal.
Earlier, it was revealed that Bhansali and Salman shelved ‘Inshallah’ due to their creative differences. Interior Designer Rubin had, at the time, told News18, “Fortunately or unfortunately, the film didn’t make it to floors because of a showdown that happened, and Salman walked away from the sets. Salman and Bhansali didn’t want to do the film together. I spent a year pre-planning the set with Bhansali. We were in the USA for about three months scouting the location.”
The duo worked together in 1999 film ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ co starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The film was a huge hit.
