Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has faced backlash on social media for a 'deeply regressive' scene with her 'Kushi' co-star Vijay Deverakonda. Recently, the lyrical video of 'Aradhya' from 'Kushi released and in one of the scenes, Vijay is seen touching Samantha's hand with his leg and it didn't go down well with a section of netizens. So, the actress got brutally trolled for it.
They have now dug out an old tweet of Samantha and called out her alleged double standards. In the tweet, the 'Shaakuntalam' actress called a poster for Mahesh Babu’s film 'Nenokkadine' “regressive". In the poster, there is Mahesh walking on a beach and Kriti Sanon following him like a four-legged animal. Samantha had tweeted, “Saw a poster of a yet to be released Telugu film. Not only is it deeply regressive, but its point is actually that it is deeply regressive."
So, netizens have now pointed out this and slammed her left, right and centre.
Meanwhile, On Thursday, Sam, taking to her Instagram handle confirmed her break from acting. She shared a picture in which she can be seen posing with the 'Citadel' India creators Raj and DK and screenwriter Sita R Menon. She announced the wrap of the show and wrote, “A break doesn’t seem like a bad thing at all when you know what’s coming @rajanddk @mensit The family I didn’t know I needed. Thank you for helping me fight every single battle and never ever giving up on me…"
